The 2015 Autumn Exhibition at Hafnarborg is the exhibition
The world without us. The exhibition features works by the artists
Björg Thorsteinsdóttir, Brynhildur Þorgeirsdóttir, Finn Jónsson, Gerður Helgadóttir, Marta María Jónsdóttir, Ragnar Már Nikulásson, Steina and
William Thorbergsson Bergsson who all have diverse backgrounds in the Icelandic art scene.

The exhibition brings together works by Icelandic artists from different generations who work with ideas about the universe. They shed light on certain aspects of the universe, whether it be the immediate environment or a wider context, the micro or the macro.

During the exhibition period, guided tours with the artists will be offered, the first of which will take place on Sunday, 30 August at 3 p.m. On this occasion, Steina will talk to visitors about her art and varied career; she is a world-renowned pioneer of electronic and video art. A symposium will also be held on Thursday, 24 September at 20:00.

The curators are
Adalheidur Valgeirsdottir artist and art historian and
Aldís Arnardóttir a curator, but their idea for the exhibition was selected from submissions last autumn when proposals were invited for the museum's autumn exhibition in 2015.
