Following a strategic process involving the fund's board and staff, it was decided to find a new and more concise name for the fund, a new identity, and to update the fund's website. 'Brú' is a descriptive name for a pension fund and rhymes well with the role of a pension fund, which is to secure the secure income of its members and thus ease the transition between life stages. The bridge in the logo reflects this connection between the different stages of life, while the colours represent a zest for life and the diverse roles that members play in society. 'Brú' is also a fitting name for a fund that manages the pensions of municipal employees across the country, and it evokes the many bridges that connect municipalities, whether in terms of transport or their cooperation.

The aim of the fund is to renew the website. www.lifbru.is be informative, efficient and convenient to use. Brú Pension Fund is the 10th largest pension fund in the country, but it also manages the operations of the Reykjavíkurborg Employees' Pension Fund and the Kópavogsbær Employees' Pension Fund, and the homepages of those funds were also updated for this occasion. Brú Pension Fund safeguards the rights of around 80,000 members, of whom an average of 16,000 are active contributors and around 5,000 are pensioners. The net assets for pension payments at the end of 2015 were approximately 114 billion króna. At the end of 2015, the net assets of all three of the aforementioned funds totalled 191 billion króna, and the number of fund members with rights in the fund is approximately 97,000.
