Mamma Mia at Víðistaðaskóli

Year 10 pupils at Víðistaðaskóli will premiere the musical Mamma Mia on Friday, 20th March at 7:30 p.m. in the school's sports hall, under the direction of Lana Íris Dungal. Further performances will be on Saturday 21 March at 14:00 and 17:00, and Sunday 22 March at 14:00 and 17:00.

Year 10 students at Víðistaðaskóli put on an annual musical, and this year it is the popular show Mamma Mia, which is based on the songs of the Swedish band ABBA, with its cheerful tunes set against a Greek island backdrop. The students handle all aspects of the musical, from building the stage, designing tickets, selling advertising, playing the music (with help from others such as Sigurður, the former head teacher), to acting and singing.
