Hafnarfjörður Municipality and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer are running the 'Health-Promoting Community' initiative to improve public health in the municipality.
Part of the initiative involves gathering data on the general health of the town's residents and their access to health promotion. The data also helps to assess the state of public health in Hafnarfjörður.
The views of local residents are important in such a place assessment, and therefore two public meetings are being called where residents can learn about the project and express their opinions on health promotion in the town. The discussion will take place in discussion groups, and the meetings are expected to last for around two hours.
Public meetings;
Hraunvallaschool, Wednesday 26th August at 7:30 p.m.
Vidistaðaskóli, Monday 31st August at 7:30 p.m.
