The service ensures, among other things, increased security and oversight of data handling. Furthermore, the identification on printed material significantly reduces paper and printing waste.
Environmental issues are a matter of great concern to the City of Hafnarfjörður, and for several years the city has focused on reducing paper waste in its daily operations. One of the methods currently being used is the Rent A Prent (RAP) printing service from Nýherji, which ensures greater security and oversight in data handling, as well as the fact that the identification on printed material is significantly reducing waste. Before Easter, a new contract was signed with Nýherji for continued printing services, following a tender process, where the emphasis is on security, environmental protection and low printing costs. This is an extremely environmentally friendly solution, and with its continued use and implementation, an even bigger step is being taken towards making the City of Hafnarfjörður greener in terms of printing.
