Lichen, herbs, berries, salt and various related products now adorn the Icelandic Wellness product line. This family-run business, founded eighteen years ago by Eyjólfur Friðgeirsson and Bergþóra Einarsdóttir, has received the Industrial Union's Pioneer Award. Íslensk hollusta will be in one of the Christmas houses in the Christmas Village at Thorsplan – just like in previous years. „Yes, it's great fun. It's very rewarding and we love meeting people in the Christmas Village, as we are a proud Hafnarfjörður-based company and enjoy showing people our products,“ says Eyjólfur.

Eyjólfur Friðgeirsson and Bergþóra Einarsdóttir founded Icelandic Delicatessen, and their daughter Ragnheiður Axel now runs it.

Eyjólfur will not be lonely in the Christmas village. From the next house, singing can be heard. „The Hafnarfjörður Women's Choir is turning thirty and we're going abroad,“ says choir director Sara Gríms. The choir will be in one of the Christmas houses in the Christmas Village at Thorsplani on the weekend of 13-15 December. They are raising money for a trip to Cambridge in the UK.

„This is going to be a great adventure,“ says Sara, who is thinking of Cambridge, while Sigríður Þyrí Skúladóttir, the choir's publicity officer, uses the same words to describe the Christmas Village. „Yes, an adventure weekend,“ she says. „We're looking forward to meeting all the people at the Christmas Village. It's going to be fun.“

The Hafnarfjörður Women's Choir rehearses on Mondays, which makes the day better and more enjoyable. The choir will then be holding its Christmas concert in Víðistaðakirkja on 5 December.
