Twelve receive recognition for 25 years of service

300 years of combined service!

Yesterday, 12 employees were recognised for their quarter-century of service to the City of Hafnarfjörður. Mayor Valdimar Víðisson gave a warm welcome to everyone at Hafnarborg and to the coffee reception, where he thanked them for their good work.

This is the tenth consecutive year that the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður has recognised its staff, with awards presented to all those who have served the municipality for 15 and 25 years. The employees have received a token of appreciation for their contribution and work on behalf of the municipality. Awards for 15 years of service are presented at each workplace, while those celebrating 25 years of service with the municipality are invited to a celebration at Hafnarborg for the occasion.

Valdimar thanked each and every one with beautiful words, and Lind Einarsdóttir, the Human Resources Manager, presented them with flowers. Here is a summary of the reviews for these twelve, but one is missing from the picture.

The awards ceremony is an essential part of the harvest of success and achievement within the council's staff.
