The kids are having fun at the Innovation Centre – Two courses in January
Two courses are on offer at the Innovation Centre this January. One is an art workshop for children aged 9-12. The other is a sketchbook course for teenagers aged 13-16. Have a look.
Time is well spent at the Innovation Centre.
An art workshop for children aged 9-12 will be available on Thursdays from 15 January to 26 March 2026, from 15:00 – 16:30 at the Innovation Centre in Hafnarfjörður. The price for the entire course is kr. 25,000. The price includes access to all sessions, materials, and a sketchbook. Individual sessions can be attended for kr. 2,500. You are welcome to bring your own sketchbook or purchase one from the Innovation Centre for kr. 1,600.
A specific topic will be covered in each lesson:

- Time #9 – 12 March – Comics
- Time #10 – 18 March – Printworks
- Time #11 – 26th March – Review of what was done + free time
A Sketchbook Course for 13-16 year-olds will then take place on Thursdays from 15 January to 26 March 2026, from 17:00 – 18:30 at the Innovation Centre. There, the teenagers will learn to use the sketchbook as a creative playground, a place for experimentation, wild ideas and discoveries. Participants will be guided through fun exercises, working with different media and exploring various approaches to creative thinking to make the sketchbook a safe space for experimentation and play. The price for the entire course is 25,000 kr. Materials and a sketchbook are included in the price.
