Back to work and activity
Hafnarfjörður is looking for jobs for individuals who are ready to re-enter the labour market. We are looking for up to 70% jobs.
The Family and Children's Services Department of Hafnarfjörður has appealed to the town's management to keep an eye out for opportunities within the town, but is also now turning to the business community.
The aim is to offer individuals greater flexibility to utilise their skills and abilities. It is also to create realistic opportunities to enter or re-enter the labour market. The main principle is work or activity instead of benefits.
But how does this work? The employer pays the jobseeker a salary in accordance with the provisions of the applicable collective agreement, and the Department for Family and Child Affairs undertakes to pay a start-up grant for the recruitment of an employee amounting to kr. 265,271 per month for up to six months.
An agreement is made on the basis of a partnership between the municipality and the Employment Service for the recruitment and provision of services to jobseekers who are not entitled to benefits from the Unemployment Insurance Fund.
Yes, this is an ideal opportunity to get willing individuals into work, empowering them whilst paving their way back into the labour market. This is an opportunity to get hands-on with long-awaited tasks, expand our operations and achieve success together.
