The National Commissioner of Police, in consultation with the police in the South-West, has activated the Civil Defence emergency level due to the eruption that has started again in Geldingadalur. According to information from the Icelandic Meteorological Institute, lava is flowing in Geldingadalur, a short distance north-east of the crater that lasted the longest last year.
