New Year's bonfire in Hafnarfjörður
The New Year's bonfire will, as usual, be held at the Haukar sports grounds in Völlunum at 20:00. Specifically, in the lava field in front of the sports centre, the bonfire is a joint effort between the Haukar Football Club and the City of Hafnarfjörður. Members of the public are advised to keep a safe distance from the bonfire, dress appropriately for the weather, leave fireworks at home and enjoy the event.
