Swapped and sold in Firði
Around ten children got into the book-seller's game, both boys and girls, at the weekend in Firði. The children brought books that they have read themselves more than once and wanted to restock their shelves or earn a little money.
There were around ten children who got into the role of bookseller this weekend at the Firði Shopping Centre. The children brought books to sell and swap that they have read more than once themselves, and wanted to do this to restock their shelves or earn a little money, for example to save up for new books. The children exchanged books, and customers also made a special trip to Fjörður to browse the selection.
Great satisfaction with the market
The children's book swap market was one of the events of the Children's Book and Film Festival, which was held throughout last week with a host of film and book-related projects and events. The market, which was due to run until 15:00 last Saturday, finished at around 14:30 as by then most people had sold or swapped their books. Everyone sold something, some sold everything, and some managed to swap all their books. The market was very well received by both parents and children, who found the initiative great fun.
