Félögum og hópum í Hafnarfirði stendur til boða að vakta umhverfið, þ.e. taka að sér að sjá um hreinsun á skilgreindu landsvæði, gegn fjárstyrk til starfseminnar.
All clubs, organisations and groups in Hafnarfjörður are invited to apply for participation in the Environmental Watch in exchange for financial support. The project is about the upkeep and beautification of the town, and the aim, as ever, is to raise residents' environmental awareness, make the town more beautiful and increase cleanliness.
Hafnarfjörður has been divided into areas, and only twelve groups can take part each time. The groups clean their area twice a year, once between 6 May and 5 June, and once between 1 and 27 September. When an area is allocated, the group and the environment are taken into consideration.
