Hafnarfjörður's Work School is recruiting general summer staff for two roles: assistant team leader in general gardening groups with young people, and for general summer jobs with various associations in Hafnarfjörður that partner with the Work School.

Key responsibilities and duties.

• To be a role model for young people
• Participation and guidance in children's group activities in the field. 
• Assistance for Group Leaders of Work Experience Groups/Play Schemes
• Other duties as described in the job description

Competency requirements

• Interest in working with young people/children
• Experience of working with children and young people is an advantage.
• A clean criminal record in accordance with the laws and regulations of the City of Hafnarfjörður.
• Applicants must have reached the age of 18 by 1 June. 
• Icelandic and English proficiency, A1 according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

• The salary is in accordance with the collective agreement between the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities and the Hlíf trade union.
