At a meeting of the Hafnarfjörður Town Council this morning, the mayor was instructed to begin preparations for the establishment of a marketing agency for the Borough of Hafnarfjörður.
The aim of establishing a marketing agency is to create a platform where the town's advantages for business operations, welcoming tourists and new residents are presented, and at the same time to strengthen links with the businesses and other activities already based in the town.
Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir, Chair of the Municipal Council, says the Marketing Office of Hafnarfjörður is an exciting idea and that there are great opportunities for development and growth in Hafnarfjörður's business life.
„We are planning to hold an open meeting to invite participation from those who run businesses in Hafnarfjörður – it is important to hear their point of view and, at the same time, present our ideas on the operating model and activities of the marketing agency,“ says Rósa.
