The welfare of children in the digital world

A seminar on the well-being of children in the digital world will be held in the main lecture hall at Gróskka tomorrow, Thursday, 15 February, from 10:30 to 13:30. The symposium is part of a special awareness week dedicated to information and media literacy. It is being held for the second time in Iceland from 12-16 February.

Ásmundur Einar Daðason, Minister of Education and Children's Affairs, will open the symposium with a speech before various experts in children's affairs take to the stage to share their knowledge, as well as present the findings of recent research and exciting upcoming projects. The symposium will then conclude with a panel discussion where progressive young people from diverse backgrounds will take centre stage, answer questions from the audience and discuss media literacy from various perspectives. Please note that the symposium will not be streamed, but it will be recorded and made available afterwards.

The chairman is Bergur Ebbi Benediktsson, a writer and lecturer.
