The 2022 Design Cup goes to pupils at Víðistaðaskóli. The NKG 2022 Design Cup was awarded to Anna Heiða Óskarsdóttir, Helga Sóley Friðþjófsdóttir and Sveindís Rósa Almarsdóttir in Year 7 at Víðistaðaskóli for their idea, the 'Lýsandi' Jacket. Happy 114th birthday!

Hafnarfjörður celebrates its 114th anniversary today, Wednesday, 1 June 2022, as the municipality was granted borough status on 1 June 1908. A year later, on 1 June 1909, the town had a population of 1,469, with 109 children enrolled in its primary school. Good deeds by students that promote and strengthen the community

Redesign, reuse and rice pudding. The Environmental and Charity Week for the senior pupils of Skarðshlíðarskóli ended on 8 April with a charity market where pupils sold new and redesigned garments, jewellery from recycled materials, purses made from plastic packaging, books and rice pouches.
