Town Council Meeting, 8 January

A town council meeting has been called for Wednesday, 8th January. The formal meeting will begin at 14:00 in the town council chamber at Hafnarborg, Strandgata 34. The agenda for the meeting can be accessed here. The meeting can be watched live here.

In August 2019, a decision was made to launch a new approach to providing information to residents of Hafnarfjörður and other stakeholders of the municipality, and in September 2019, the podcast Vitinn was launched.  The episodes of Vitan cover the council's diverse range of services, giving listeners the opportunity to get to know the professionals who work behind the scenes.

Christmas tree not collected from home after Christmas

Notice regarding Christmas trees. For your information, the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður would like to draw special attention to the fact that it does not collect Christmas trees from residents after the Christmas period. Best decorated houses in Hafnarfjörður 2019
