Message to tenants in Hafnarfjörður

From 1 January 2017, the processing of housing benefits was transferred to the Employment Service. The Employment Service processes housing benefits electronically, so there is no longer any need to submit the original tenancy agreement as was previously required. Hafnarfjörður advises tenants to collect the original tenancy agreements from the Hafnarfjörður Service Centre at Strandgata 6 for their own safekeeping.

Stories and poems in swimming

It's a lovely thought to lie in the pool and read. This week, poems and short stories by pupils from Hafnarfjörður's primary schools are on display in the town's swimming pools. The poems and stories are displayed in the swimming pools for the occasion of the Children's Book and Film Festival in Hafnarfjörður, which is currently taking place.
