Christmas will be bid farewell with dance and song at a splendid Threttándan celebration at Ásvellir on Sunday, 11th January. The entertainment programme begins at Ásvellir at 17:00. Coffee, hot chocolate, torches and kindling will be on sale on site at a reasonable price. Entertainment for the whole family. The celebration will conclude with a spectacular firework display.

From 7th to 9th January, staff from the Hafnarfjörður Service Centre will be collecting Christmas trees in the town. Residents who wish to use this service are kindly asked to place their Christmas trees at the kerbside. Residents are also urged to clear up any firework debris and take it to recycling centres.
