Winners of the Big Reading Competition revealed

The final of the Grand Reading Competition in Hafnarfjörður took place in Hásölum today, having been postponed from last Tuesday due to the weather. Local consultation on Suðurnesjalína 2

Landsnet hf is applying for a construction permit for the installation of the Suðurnesjalína 2 power line in Hafnarfjörður. The project is in accordance with the Hafnarfjörður 2013-2025 Master Plan. The Grand Reading Competition festival today postponed

The final event of the Great Reading Competition, which was due to take place at 5 p.m. today in Hafnarborg, has been postponed due to the storm currently sweeping the town. A new date for the event will be announced later. The picture shows last year's winners with their headteachers.

Impassable roads in Hafnarfjörður

There is severe weather across the town, but the situation is worst on Völlum, Krýsuvíkurvegur, Ásland, Setberg and in Mosahlíð. Visibility in the town is very poor, but according to the weather forecast, it is due to start raining within an hour, and visibility should then improve, allowing snowploughs to begin clearing the snow.
