Öldutúnsskóli is looking for school and after-school staff for the 2026-2027 school year.
Öldutúnsskóli is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic school and leisure assistant for a 50% position at the Selið after-school club.
This is a part-time position involving providing support and assistance to pupils in Years 1–4 at the after-school club, Selin, on weekdays afternoons from 13:00 to 17:00. The role is well-suited as a side job alongside studies or another job.
Selið offers a wide range of leisure activities, with an emphasis on organised activities suitable for each individual. On school organisation days and on weekdays during the Christmas and Easter holidays, the after-school club is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Öldutúnsskóli has around 580 pupils in Years 1 to 10.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assistance with professional work with students.
- Work under the guidance of the next in command.
- Foster good discipline and positive communication.
- Participate in the planning, preparation and delivery of a diverse range of leisure activities.
- Promote the welfare of children in collaboration with parents and other professionals.
- Strive to involve everyone students, regardless of ability or development, to participate in a variety of activities and events.
- Attend to other tasks in accordance with the job description and instructions from the supervisor.
Educational and competency requirements:
- Experience and an interest in working with children.
- Agility in communication, flexibility and cooperativeness.
- Initiative and independence in work methods.
- A positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
- Interest in working in a creative and ambitious environment.
- Punctuality and conscientiousness.
- Very good Icelandic skills, at a minimum of C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
A clean criminal record is required upon employment.

Remuneration is in accordance with the collective agreement between the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities and STH.
