Town Council Meeting, 29 May

A town council meeting has been called for Wednesday, 29th May. The formal meeting will begin at 14:00 in the town council chamber at Hafnarborg, Strandgata 34. The agenda for the meeting can be accessed here. The meeting can be watched live here.

In accordance with section 2 of Article 36 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010, a description of the proposed amendments to the General Plan, which concern part of Hjallabraut and the edge of Víðistaðatún, is being published for consultation. Cleaning of the Sewerage Pumping Stations

Notice regarding the cleaning of the Hafnarfjörður Sewerage pumping stations. The annual cleaning of the Sewerage pumping stations is now due. The work is scheduled to take place from 20th to 24th May. During the cleaning, some sewage will flow through overflow channels into the sea, but every effort will be made to minimise this.

Sales tents/houses on 17th June

Those interested in hiring a marquee for the 17th of June can apply for a trading licence from the City of Hafnarfjörður at ith@hafnarfjordur.is. Trading licences are not allocated to individuals.
