We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual for part-time work at Læk, a safe haven for individuals with mental health challenges. The aim of Læk is to reduce social isolation and improve quality of life. An exciting and rewarding role is on offer, with a variety of tasks and ad-hoc hours.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Engage visitors on their own terms / a varied project
  • Reception of guests
  • Other tasks as per the job description

Educational and competency requirements:

  • Interest in the subject
  • Experience of working with people with mental disabilities is desirable.
  • Imaginative
  • Show initiative and positivity in communication and work.
  • Interpersonal skills, initiative and a willingness to collaborate
  • Knowledge of Icelandic

It is desirable that the person is 20 years of age, but a clean criminal record is a requirement.

Salary in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities and the Hafnarfjörður Staff Association (STH).
