Um er að ræða 80-100% starf skólaárið 2026-2027 og ráðið er í starfið frá 1. ágúst 2026.

We are building a new autism unit that focuses on individualised services, respect, and a positive environment for children with autism and their families. Our aim is to create a strong team of staff who work together to support each child's participation, development and well-being. The unit works from the children's strengths and focuses on diverse ways to enhance social skills, learning, and independence. We are looking for staff who share our vision and are passionate about taking part in shaping a new service where the children's welfare and human rights are at the forefront.

The applicant must have a positive attitude towards students with multiple needs and a belief in each individual's capacity for change and development, seeking to build on their strengths.

Key responsibilities and duties:

·         Fjölbreytt nálgun í þjálfun og umsjón með nemendum í samvinnu við kennara, stoðþjónustu og foreldra

·         Working on the development of school practice in collaboration with school services

·         Promote the welfare of students in collaboration with parents and other professionals.

·         Taka þátt í stefnumótunarvinnu

·         Önnur tilfallandi verkefni

Educational and competency requirements:

·         Leyfi til að nota starfsheitið þroskaþjálfi (leyfisbréf fylgi umsókn)

·         Þekkingu og reynslu af vinnu með nemendum með fjölþættan vanda

·         Jákvæða afstöðu til nemenda með fjölþættan vanda

·         Initiative and autonomy in work methods

·         Faglegur metnaður og áhugi á að starfa í skapandi og metnaðarfullu umhverfi

·         Jákvæðni, sveigjanleika og góða samskiptahæfni

·         Good command of Icelandic. The proficiency benchmark C1 is taken as a reference. criteria of the European Language Portfolio.

Við ráðningu er gerð krafa um hreint sakavottorð.

Launakjör eru samkvæmt samningi sambands íslenskra sveitarfélaga við ÞÍ.
