Við minnum á að heitavatnslaust verður í Hafnarfirði frá kl. 22 í dag, mánudaginn 19. ágúst þar til á hádegi miðvikudaginn 21. ágúst.

There will be no hot water in Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær, Kópavogur, Álftanes, Norðlingaholt, Hólmsheiði, Almannadalur and Breiðholt from Monday evening August 19th until noon on Wednesday 21st.
Due to a connection of a new main hot water pipe, there will be no hot water in a large part of the capital area as shown on the map. The project is the first part of Suðuræð 2 (in Icelandic).
It is important to turn off the taps to prevent accidents and damage when the water returns.
We remind homeowners to check their inhouse heating systems. The Association of Master Plumbers has compiled guidelines for homeowners in Icelandic. It’s good to keep the windows closed during this time to retain heat indoors.
When the water is restored after the shutdown, leaks may occur from the extensive piping system. In such cases, it is important to report them immediately so they can be addressed promptly.
